Free Starbucks for 30 minutes

So as part of a launch for it’s new drip coffee - Pike’s Place Roast - you can get a free small cup for the next 30 minutes (until 9:30 am.)

I actually stopped by one on my way into work this morning for my weekly large sugar free vanilla non-fat latte - I had a gift card, but their machine wasn’t processing it, so they just gave it to me for free.

So go - GO NOW!

(Oh..and they also have new cups with the old logo.)

So can someone give us a quick review of this brew? Is it any better than the ‘burnt log’ taste of regular Charbucks?

Life would be a bit easier if I know that the Mermaid wasn’t brewing up house coffee I’d have to force down (fortunately there aren’t often situations in which Charbucks isn’t the only options … not often)

So I didn’t have any of the straight brew, but someone in my office who doesn’t normally drink theirs but went just because it was free said it wasn’t nearly as ‘bitey’ as the old stuff. Very smooth and she’d drink it again.

Well, hall-le-luyah!. Maybe Starbucks finally figured out that bad coffee is kinda impacting its image. At least it will be nice to know that there’s an option that I don’t have to sweeten into a chemical soup just to gag down if I need that kick.
