Just looked around their wesbite; they're certainly not lacking for good press. I doubt the film will ever make it down to the Las Vegas metro area but I'll certainly look for it on PPV. I worked as a writer in that "other" film industry for 10 years, so I have an interest in the topic. The small handful of films that have been produced about the adult film industry have been fairly accurate depictions, with the notable exceptions of DePalma's "Body Double" and Schrader's "Hardcore."

I enjoyed it. James Westby worked in a video store for many years (see: Film Geek), so it wouldn't surprise me if he drew influence from a number of films.

What did yo think of the film, Geoff? One of my all-time favorite cult classics is "Inserts" starring Richard Dreyfuss as an over-the-hill pornographer in L.A. of the 1930s. Sounds like "The Auteur" had at least a little influence from "Inserts".
