CD/Game Exchange
Eight dollars for five albums that I’ve never heard. Admittedly one was a punk rock compilation, and the Meat Beat Manifesto CD cost 5 dollars, but all in all, a good haul. “Where?” you ask, “Where on earth did you find such excellent deals?” Well, my friend, for all that it is a chain of stores and boasts no originality or funk, or independent Portland flava, the CD/Game Exchanges have the One Dollar Rack.
And quite frankly, nothing beats a CD for a dollar. Nothing. Except the delicious, delicious mocha milkshakes at the Chance of Rain cafĂ.

Is this the same place that used to be on NE Broadway & moved up to Mississippi recently?
We used to go in there, but only occasionally bought something.
I’m partial to Everyday Music on Sandy myself.
Yeah, there are a whole bunch scattered around the PDX Metro area. I got these CDs at the branch on Hawthorne.
couple of question-
Ben, did you really sell your “albums?” if you only got $8, you got ripped off. Albums are a rarity now, so you should really try and find unique buyers next time, you’ll get more scratch.
CD/Game exchange is a great company. locally owned and all that. when they opened their store on n. mississippi, i think it was the owners doing the grunt work. i’m a fan of everyday music as it has the best selection and offers numerous listening stations that don’t just have your latest pop crapola.
They *are* locally owned? Huh. I thought I saw one….I can’t remember where.
No, actually, I got five albums for eight dollars. Not eight bucks for five albums. Even I know that’s a ripoff.
