Double take

On my way home from seeing Jesse Malin perform at the Crystal Ballroom last night, I noticed this billboard above Dante’s:

Freshly Tweaked?

Um…yeah. Was that advertisement created by someone who doesn’t know what the term “tweaked” brings to mind?

Probably conceived in New York City, where nobody believes there is such a thing as a meth crisis.

    From the American Heritage Dictionary:

    tr.v. tweaked, tweak·ing, tweaks

    1. To pinch, pluck, or twist sharply.
    2. To adjust; fine-tune.
    3. To make fun of; tease.

See definition #2. I think the ad is perfectly legit don’t you?

There isn’t any such thing as a meth crisis.
