Another Winter Hawk Makes the Show

Cody McLeod, who played his four years of junior hockey with the Portland Winter Hawks between 2001 and 2005, just got the call from the Colorado Avalanche to fill in for an injured Tyler Arnason (wrist, up to four weeks).

Cody was a very popular Portland player, know for his grit and intensity and all-around great attitude. It’s great to see guys come up through the juniors, go on to the minor pros, work their asses off at the local rink in the summers, and finally get to play in the NHL. It’s a whole different level, but I think Cody’s going to make an impression.

Why would you want to get it out of your head?

    Go Leafs!
