Two weeks’ notice

The Oregonian is reporting today that a new red light camera has been installed at SE Washington at 103rd Avenue. This is the eighth camera. From looking at the list of cameras out there, it seems most are on the Eastside, which is interesting. Two of the cameras are near my office and I’ve become accustomed to seeing the bright flashing light as I wait at the bus stop in the evening. I can always tell when a driver is having that “Oh, crap” moment as they seem to slow down just after passing through the light.

In any event, fines won’t start being issued at the newest intersection until March 17, so you have two weeks to break any red light-running habits you have.
